Mahindra will give the XUV700 a mid-cycle facelift it is targeting for release between late-2025 to early-2026. Though the SUV continues with its existing powertrain, the new iteration does get some improvements in the exterior design as well as cabin and safety features.
New Design: Rubbing Is Racing But Also More Sharper
The XUV700 will see a facelift, the front grille will be redesigned with vertical slats; it will get sharper dual projector LED headlights and new DRLs to give it a more aggressive stance. Refreshed LED tail lamps are to be found at the rear, and new alloy wheels have been introduced as well giving it a familiar yet modern face.

All-New Triple-Screen Layout
The primary change in the 2025 facelift will be the new triple-screen inside — each one for the driver, central infotainment and co-passenger. This is a big technological jump for the segment and further improve the premium feeling associated with the XR700.
Premium Cabin Additions
On the inside, higher-spec variants will come with ventilated front seats, captain seat in second row, ambient lighting, memory ORVMs and a large panoramic sunroof. The in-cabin experience is even better with the premium sound system and the soft-touch dashboard materials. Advanced Safety:
Safer and smarter than ever
The Level-2 ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems) available on the facelift reflective of those already in place in the current e-Niro, including adaptive cruise control, lane keep assist, autonomous emergency braking plus traffic sign recognition and a blind-spot monitor—Niro also offers lane follow assist which keeps it tracking straight round gentle bends.
Standard safety kit will consist of 6–7 airbags, ABS with EBD, ESC, hill hold, TPMS and a 360° camera. Safety, then, seems to clearly be where the focus lies for making the XUV700 one of — if not, THE safest SUV in its segment.
Powertrain: No Mechanical Changes
In its unaggressive XUV700 form, the engines that we know are good for just about every task they’re thrown at remain under the bonnet.
- 4-cyl turbo-petrol (approx 200 PS)
- Diesel 2.2-litre turbo-diesel (155-185 PS and up to 450 Nm)
The two engines will be mated to 6-speed manual and automatic gearboxes. Some diesel trims will offer the AWD option.
Expected Launch & Price Range
The 2025 facelifted Mahindra XUV700 is expected to be unveiled by either late-2025 or early-2026. Expect prices to start from ₹14.5 lakh and go up all the way to ₹28 lakh (ex-showroom) depending on the variant and features provided in it.
Community Insights
From early discussions regarding the facelift, it was recently revealed that buyers are especially hot on the arrangement of the new cabin and more advanced ADAS technologies. On the other hand, a few current XUV700 owners have experienced problems such as infotainment bugs and sunroof water leakage, and Mahindra is likely to iron them out in the facelifted version.
