Proven Engine with Impressive Mileage

In the engine bay, the Baleno gets a 1.2L DualJet petrol engine that puts out 90 PS and can be had with — both — a 5-speed manual gearbox and/or an AMT. It is also available with a factory-fitted CNG option.

The Baleno is rather frugal to run, too:

  • 22.35 km/l (Petrol Manual)
  • 30.61 km/kg (CNG variant)

These numbers make it among the most fuel efficient hatchbacks in the segment.

Comfortable Ride and Easy Handling

Developed to conquer the city roads, while still making its presence felt from the occasional long drives on the highway, the Baleno offers a comfortable, soft setup. And its suspension really gobbled up bumps, yet the car feels stable at higher speeds. The light steering is perfect for city use, and with a long wheelbase there is plenty of rear legroom.
